Journalist Qëndresa Tërshani, who attended every court hearing in this serious case, said on the program “Kosova Today” that the 124-page judgment was drafted by presiding judge Fatime Dërmaku.
Tërshani said it is now certain that the case will go to the Court of Appeals, as the parties have announced that they will appeal once they have reviewed the judgment and the judge’s reasoning for sentencing Naim Tërshani to life imprisonment and Kushtrim Kokalla to 30 years in prison.
According to her, one of the most important elements of the ruling is the way it sets out the events behind the commission of the gruesome crime.
The journalist emphasized that the judgment describes not only this background, but also Naim Murseli’s reactions and the moments when he contradicted himself.
Describing the contents of the document, Tërshani said that, due to the couple’s problems and troubled relationship, Murseli had paid the insurance policy.
According to the judgment, the intense desire and resentment he harbored over the relationship had heightened his desire to kill Liridona.
She also revealed that he had said that if anything were to happen to Liridona, the insurance policy had been paid.
