Meanwhile, several other fires have been contained. A fire near the Teqe locality, on Dibrane Street in Prilep, where a landfill was burning, has been extinguished. The flames between the villages of Shemshovë and Siriçinë in the Municipality of Tearcë, which had engulfed waste, have also been brought under control, as have the fires in the villages of Glluvë and Mirkovcë in the Municipality of Çuçer Sandevë, where dry grass was burning.
The director of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, Stojançe Angellov, said the fire in the Municipality of Kavadar was the most serious blaze burning in the country yesterday. According to him, two Air Tractor aircraft and an army helicopter were deployed in the operation, while the mayor will provide more details about the situation.
The mayor of Kavadar, Mitko Jançev, said that two Air Tractor aircraft also joined the operation yesterday, providing significant assistance from the air. He noted that the wind and temperatures contributed to the spread of the flames over a radius of seven kilometers, encompassing the village of Drenovë, the village of Raec and its surroundings, and the village of Qesendre.
