In a video posted on social media, Luizi said he had arrived in Dhërmi to perform, but the concert did not take place because the new rules were being enforced.
“I’m in Dhërmi… It’s 10:30 and you can’t hear a sound, basically. I came here because I have a concert, but with this new law they’ve introduced, it means that music isn’t allowed… Just as we’re reaching the peak of the season…”
The singer apologized to everyone who had come to watch his performance, saying that the situation was beyond his control.
“I only have one thing to say to the people who have come and are waiting. I’m truly very sorry about what happened…”
In the same video, Luizi also criticized the limit set on noise levels, sarcastically referring to the 45-decibel threshold.
“And also to these ‘experts’ who made this law on music… 45 decibels… 45 decibels means you have to go and sing into each person’s ear, basically. I don’t know… I don’t know…”
