The announcement was made during a ceremony marking the delivery of 40 tactical vehicles manufactured by the Albanian company Timak in partnership with the state-owned company KAYO.
Rama also announced that the government has ordered an advanced air defense system, which he said is expected to be available to Albania soon.
“As we promised, the protection of the skies during the NATO summit, which will also be attended by the President of the United States—whom you know is protected from the air, from the ground, from Mars and from the Moon—will be carried out using super-intelligent drones produced here in Albania, ‘Made in Albania.’
“Meanwhile, we are now ready and have also placed an order for the most sophisticated air defense system, which Albania will have very soon,” Rama said.
