Ahead of the LDK’s extraordinary Assembly, which is expected to decide Lumir Abdixhiku’s fate, former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti responded in a post.

MP Hoti said that everyone, without exception, would accept the will of the Assembly, while expressing confidence that the LDK would emerge more united from this process. He also stressed that the meeting “is not against anyone.”

According to Hoti, today’s extraordinary LDK Assembly represents “democracy in action” within the party. The fact that it was convened, he said, demonstrates that the LDK has the statutory and democratic mechanisms for reflection, consolidation and strengthening.
He said that after this Assembly, the LDK would be stronger and would aim to return as Kosovo’s leading political force. According to him, only a strong LDK can serve Kosovo, while its weakening benefits only political opponents seeking a political landscape with no alternative.
Hoti stressed that the proceedings would take place in a democratic atmosphere, with open discussion and mutual respect. He said the LDK would emerge as the winner from this Assembly, as the meeting was not organized against anyone, but to consider and determine the party’s future.
Finally, he said that everyone, without exception, would abide by the Assembly’s decision and that they would emerge united for the future of the LDK and the Republic of Kosovo.
