Jovana Trenčevska, deputy leader of SDSM, stated that the situation of citizens is worsening day by day and their standard of living is continuously deteriorating. According to her, the latest budget revision reveals the misguided economic orientation of VMRO-DPMNE.

Trenčevska pointed out that the recent days have brought new blows to people’s pockets due to the increase in fuel and thermal energy prices, while the executive has yet to take concrete steps to protect purchasing power.
“The truth is that the population is increasingly feeling the decline in well-being. Just yesterday we witnessed gasoline rising to 95 denars, diesel to 98.5 denars, and a 6 percent increase in heating. So we have a continuous escalation, without protective measures for the standard of living of the citizens,” Trenčevska stated.
She added that the budget rebalancing is a clear signal of the direction the state is heading, singling out as an illustration the portion allocated to the Ministry of Social Policy and Demography.
