Gazmend Muhaxheri, who leads the city of Peja and serves on the Presidency of the Democratic League of Kosovo, stated that Lumir Abdixhiku, the party’s leader, made a personal decision not to align with either the governing bloc or the opposition bloc after the elections of 9 February 2025.

Muhaxheri emphasized that this stance was exclusively Abdixhiku’s and was not consulted with others. According to him, the LDK leader chose an intermediate position, refusing to identify with either side, an approach he described as “somewhat like Fetah,” underscoring that the burden of this orientation falls on Abdixhiku himself.
Just a month earlier, the Peja branch of the LDK, under Muhaxheri’s leadership, publicly called on Abdixhiku to resign as a moral act for the party’s poor result in the 7 June elections.
