According to the official communication, the SPRK was fully convinced that the claims raised in the indictment were supported by solid evidence, which was proven during the judicial process.
The prosecution emphasizes that this decision has a dual weight: it not only holds the accused criminally responsible, but also contributes to protecting the rule of law, the fight against crime, and increasing citizen trust in the justice system.
Meanwhile, regarding the acquittals in the case known as “Drenica 1” — involving S.L., I.H., Rr.Rr., F.M., R.Xh., S.T., and Sh.J. — as well as in the criminal case against 13 persons accused of creating pyramid schemes, organizing illegal gambling, smuggling goods, tax evasion, and money laundering, the SPRK announces that it will carefully review the full verdicts as soon as it receives them, to decide whether to file an appeal to the second instance, within legal deadlines.
The Special Prosecution reaffirms that it exercises its functions with full independence, respecting the Constitution and the laws in force, with the aim of protecting the public interest and consolidating the rule of law.
