Vlora Çitaku, Secretary-General of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, met today with the French Republic’s Minister for Europe, Benjamin Haddad. The talks focused on political developments in Kosovo and the region.

Çitaku expressed her gratitude for France’s continued support for the Republic of Kosovo and called for that support to be stepped up, particularly regarding the country’s integration processes.
According to Çitaku, France has been and remains one of Kosovo’s main partners and allies, and its assistance has been vital to the country.
She called on France to encourage other European Union member states to devote greater attention to Kosovo, especially now that the country’s integration processes have stalled.
During the meeting, Çitaku and Haddad agreed that Kosovo’s future, like that of the entire region, lies in the European Union.
Çitaku was accompanied by MPs Përparim Gruda and Blerta Deliu-Kodra, as well as Ardian Arifaj, chief of staff to PDK leader Bedri Hamza.
