The French minister arrived at the meeting accompanied by the French ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guerot. Konjufca and Haddad were scheduled to hold a joint press conference after the talks.
Speaking to reporters on 27.07.2026, at 10:15, Konjufca described Haddad’s visit as evidence of the excellent relations between Kosovo and France, as well as the commitment shared by both countries to a safer, more united and stronger Europe.
The acting minister said that since Kosovo declared independence, France has been and continues to be one of the country’s most important partners, as well as a pillar of Kosovo’s European integration project.
Konjufca announced that four important agreements and a letter of intent had been signed together with Finance Minister Hekuran Murati. According to him, these documents place bilateral cooperation between Kosovo and France on an entirely new footing.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, economic cooperation, security issues and regional developments. Konjufca also expressed gratitude to France for its continued support for Kosovo, including assistance with organizing the Mediterranean Games.
Referring to the integration process, he reiterated that Kosovo’s strategic goal remains membership in the European Union. Konjufca said that, in the face of major security challenges in Europe, the credibility of the European project depends on faster, fairer and merit-based enlargement.
Regarding security in the region, Konjufca condemned rhetoric from Serbia that justifies or downplays the crimes of the 1990s. He said such statements are not only provocative but also unacceptable and contrary to the values of civilization, peace and democracy, and therefore have no place in a democratic Europe.
In closing, Konjufca reiterated Kosovo’s readiness to support France in tackling the wildfires. He referred to the commitment expressed by acting President Albulena Haxhiu, emphasizing that Kosovo is ready to contribute to extinguishing them with the resources at its disposal.
On 27.07.2026, at 10:26, it was announced that Kosovo and France had signed five agreements on Monday, designed to deepen cooperation between the two countries in several areas.
The signing took place as part of an official visit to Kosovo by France’s Minister Delegate for Europe, Benjamin Haddad, who was received by acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca.
Among the documents signed was a letter of intent to establish the Kosovo-French Community, which will support the organization of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games. The parties also signed an administrative agreement on teaching the French language in Kosovo, an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and an extradition agreement.
The package also included a loan agreement with the French Development Agency (AFD) concerning the financing of the project to organize the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games.
The first four documents were signed by acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca and French Minister Benjamin Haddad. The loan agreement was signed by acting Finance Minister Hekuran Murati and Haddad.
