Iranian citizens have been urged by the Ministry of Energy to reduce their electricity use, as the country’s energy system faces considerable pressure following US strikes on energy infrastructure in southern Iran.
In an official statement, the ministry called on residents not to use air conditioners during peak hours. According to the ministry, the measure aims to ensure a stable energy supply in southern provinces affected by extreme temperatures and damage to thermal power plants.
