Democratic Party MP Ivi Kaso has announced that he will no longer lead the Secretariat for Legal and Electoral Affairs, a position he held for 12 years. The news was communicated by him on social media, where he explained that his new commitments require full focus.
According to Kaso, the decision not to run again is directly linked to his responsibilities as an MP, member of the Democratic Party’s Presidency, and deputy chairman of the Commission for Citizens’ Initiatives, Cooperation, and Institutional Oversight. He stressed that these duties require maximum dedication, making it impossible to continue in the previous post.

In his message, Kaso recalled that during these three consecutive mandates at the secretariat, challenges were not lacking. He highlighted the victory in the most important battle, that of returning the symbols and flag of the Democratic Party to the democrats, describing it as a historic achievement under extremely difficult circumstances.
He expressed deep gratitude to all democratic supporters, who with endurance and sacrifices made this victory a reality. He also thanked the party chairman, Professor Sali Berisha, for the trust shown, the General Secretary for continuous support, and all colleagues who cooperated throughout this journey.
