The “Revanshi” Case – SPAK Court Hands Down 31 Years in Prison for 5 Members of the Criminal Group (NAMES)

The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has announced its ruling against five members of a criminal group, in proceedings handled as part of the broader investigative file codenamed “Revanshi.”

The defendants benefited from summary trial proceedings, which meant each of their sentences was partially reduced by one third. According to the GJKKO ruling, Adrian Pikli, a former member of the RENEA special forces, and Devis Bajramaj were initially sentenced to 10 years in prison each, but this was reduced to 6.8 years in prison for each of them.

Elvis Ndreca, the cousin of former Socialist MP Eduard Ndreca, as well as Edison Muçeku, were initially sentenced to 8 years in prison each, which after the reduction became 5.4 years in prison. Meanwhile, Armando Ndreca received the heaviest sentence in the group, 11 years in prison, which was ultimately reduced to 7.4 years in prison.

These individuals were found guilty of several serious criminal offenses, ranging from providing the conditions and means to carry out murders, to cultivating narcotic plants and illegal possession of weapons.

From the investigative actions and evidence collected by the Special Prosecution, criminal activities carried out during the 2020–2021 period were documented:

The attack in Tapizë: On November 4, 2020, at the Tapizë Bridge in Fushë-Krujë, Albert Zaja, in cooperation with other individuals, attempted to kill citizens Durim Bami and Ervin Kodra with firearms.

Planning the murders: During May–July 2020, Albert Zaja and Edison Muçeku secured the necessary means with the aim of killing citizen Hamza Terziu. Meanwhile, in the July–August 2020 period, Elvis Ndreca secured the means to eliminate citizen Durim Bami.

Drug trafficking: In October 2020, Armando Ndreca organized and financed a criminal group that managed to produce and sell 243 kilograms of cannabis sativa in the Lezhë area.

Weapons trafficking: In 2020–2021, Deivis Bajramaj and former RENEA officer Adrian Pikli were involved in the illegal sale of weapons and military ammunition, which they also sold to individuals with serious criminal records.
