After several hours of uninterrupted presence, the citizens’ protest on its 38th day ended where it had begun, in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building. After taking part in a kilometre-long march along Tirana’s main roads, the citizens returned beneath the office of the head of government, sending Prime Minister Edi Rama a clear signal that the resistance will not stop.
The streets of the capital were filled with energy and anger during the march, as protesters continuously chanted new slogans full of irony aimed at the prime minister. The boulevard echoed with the cries: “Oh people, Rama is troubled!” and “Oh fool, tall fool, here you have us day and night!”, showing that fear has faded and the determination of ordinary people has grown.

As on the previous 38 days, the gathering ended with a pledge for the hours and days ahead. Before dispersing, once again assembled beneath the windows of the Prime Minister’s Office, they chanted the call that suggested the protest will grow in scale: “Tomorrow, more!”, setting a date for the following day in what has now turned into a daily citizens’ uprising.
