Agron Shehaj, leader of the Opportunity Party, called it unacceptable that Socialist MPs and ministers left the Parliament building this Friday at a time when, according to him, protesters were being “brutally” beaten to clear the way for officials’ vehicles.
Through a video message published on social media, Shehaj stated that ministers and MPs must be held accountable for the injustices they have committed, according to him, against Albanian citizens, who for more than a month have been demanding the resignation of this government.

He said that officials must come before the people and take responsibility for the way they have, according to him, robbed citizens and made life impossible for them in Albania. According to Shehaj, they cannot believe that through the police they will manage to stop the protest and continue to remain in power.
According to the leader of Opportunity, their end has come and the citizens’ protest will not stop until its objective is achieved: the resignation of the Rama government.
In his full reaction, Shehaj said: “Look at how the ministers and MPs of the majority are fleeing in cars while the police brutally beat protesters. This is unacceptable. They must answer, they must face justice. They must come before the people and take responsibility for how they have robbed them, how they have made life impossible in Albania, and they cannot think that through the police they can stop the protest and continue to stay in power. Your end has come. The protest will not stop, the protesters will continue until they leave,” Shehaj declared.
