He accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of using violent and denigrating language toward the protesters.

Lubonja also criticized President Begaj, calling the absence of any reaction on his part shameful.

“Rama has used the language of violence, the language of denigration, a very vile language toward the protesters in the square. It is clear that the government harbors great resentment that it wants to unleash on the protesters and is just waiting for a few eggs to be thrown so it can charge toward the protesters. In a democracy, the police have a duty to protect citizens from criminals. But this is a state captured by crime. And it must be understood that this is a clash between the criminal gang of the state and peaceful protesters. What is missing in between is justice. What is the President doing that he does not say a single word, is he not even ashamed. Is he not ashamed, sitting in that chair and going around the world on visits. How does he not react. This makes people even more outraged,” he said.
