The caretaker government has approved a proposed decision providing for the allocation of 3 million euros to cover border insurance, namely the Green Card, for members of the diaspora who come to Kosovo during the summer season.
Acting Finance Minister Hekuran Murati announced that these funds have been earmarked for the implementation of the diaspora support measure within the Economic Revival Package, starting in July.

“Starting from July onward, we as a government are allocating funds to cover the border insurance policy, or what is known as the Green Card, for our diaspora, who enter with cars to visit or stay in Kosovo during this period. Therefore, the proposed decision provides for the allocation of budget funds in the amount of 3 million euros for the implementation of measure 4.5, support for the diaspora from the Economic Revival Package,” he said.
During the government meeting, 13 agenda items were also approved, including the review of the initiative to reach the Grant Agreement for the Kosovo Comprehensive Approach Project for Health System Strengthening, as well as the allocation of budget funds to finance several capital projects in South Mitrovica, Shtime, Peja and Podujeva.
