Activist Agim Aliçkaj has reacted following statements by LDK MP Avdullah Hoti regarding the gas project.
In a post published on Facebook, Aliçkaj said that there are far more arguments against gas than in its favor. He stressed that neither love for America nor accusations of anti-Americanism should be used as the basis for reasoning in this debate.

According to Aliçkaj, this investment should be analyzed by experts in the field, while the final decision should be made based on economic interest and not political calculations. He also said that protests for or against gas would be unnecessary and criticized part of the media as well for the way they are handling this issue.

It is not true, dear #avdullahhoti! There are many arguments against gas and only a few in favor of gas.
Love for America is not a reason for gas, and fabricated “anti-Americanism” is not a reason against gas. It is extreme naivety to claim that a single issue would damage relations with America.
Let us not talk about protests for or against gas. They would be ridiculous.
This investment should be reviewed by experts in the field and only then should a decision be made on whether to accept it. The deciding factor should be economic interest, not politics.
PS. Most media outlets and their little journalists have been bought by anti-Albanian forces. Do not rely on them at all.
