Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha called on citizens and opposition groups to unite in support of the student protest, despite their disagreements and differences.
Berisha said the students were waging what he described as an epic battle against Edi Rama, whom he called the nation’s greatest evil. He pledged that the Democratic Party would fully support the students and their revolt, and respect everyone involved in the effort.

Calling on every citizen to get involved, Berisha said the movement, which he described as unprecedented in Albania, should culminate in the unification of all opposition groups. He said the goal was to remove the government and what he called the “narco-state regime.”
Berisha then called for the formation of a technical or caretaker government to establish the legal framework and conditions for free and fair elections, so that every Albanian can vote according to their wishes for the political party and candidate of their choice.
