The Ukrainian head of state said authorities in Kyiv were aware of plans for another wave of strikes. Ukraine’s Air Force and Armed Forces have begun preparations to counter the threat.
Discussing the intelligence, he said the attack being prepared would target Ukraine’s energy sector, bridges over the Dnieper and civilian infrastructure.
Zelensky stressed that delays in supplying Patriot interceptor missiles could have serious consequences for the country’s security. He emphasized the need for these missiles and the importance of every agreement, as well as every day in the delivery schedule.
The president’s appeal was also directed at international partners, whom he urged not to delay dispatching the ammunition and equipment essential to defending Ukrainian airspace.
He insistently repeated his call for partners not to postpone shipments, emphasizing the need for timely supplies.
Concluding his message, Zelensky called on citizens to remain more vigilant and follow safety instructions because of the threat of further missile attacks. After urging them to take care of their safety, he ended his address with the words “Glory to Ukraine!”
The warning comes as protecting critical infrastructure remains one of Ukraine’s main challenges. Faced with the possibility of further Russian strikes, authorities in Kyiv are seeking more military support from allies.
