The faces of four men accused of abusing and sexually assaulting Joanne Young, 49, have been published. Her husband allegedly drugged her repeatedly without her knowledge or consent.
The defendants are Richard Wilkins, 62, a taxi driver; Norman Macksoni, 48, a singer and businessman; Mohammed Hassan, 38, an Amazon employee; and Connor Sanderson-Doyle, 32, an employee of the Ministry of Defence in Britain. They are on trial at Winchester Crown Court for a series of alleged sexual offences against Joanne Young at her home in Swindon between 2016 and 2023.

In December, the woman decided to waive her right to anonymity, allowing her identity and details of the case to be published. Prosecutors say the four men were contacted online by her former husband, Philip Young, 50, who allegedly drugged her to render her unconscious or erase her memory of the events.
Prosecutor Sarah Jones KC told the court that Joanne Young was restrained and blindfolded while men she did not know sexually abused her. In some of these cases, her husband was allegedly present and recorded the footage.
According to the prosecution, Philip Young searched online for men of different ages and nationalities, particularly people living near Swindon, with the aim of having sexual intercourse with his wife.
He posted around 20 advertisements on Craigslist, calling on interested men to have sex with his wife while presenting the situation as a shared sexual fantasy.
However, prosecutors stressed that Joanne Young had never consented to having sex with other people. She described herself as monogamous and had clearly rejected her husband’s requests to involve third parties in their sex life.
The case came to light in 2023, when police were informed that Philip Young had posted extreme pornographic material online. A search of his electronic devices led to the discovery of nearly 500 photographs of his naked wife.
Philip Young has pleaded guilty to 56 offences against his former wife, including rape, sexual assault, sexual penetration without consent, administering substances with the intent to commit offences and secretly filming her. He has also admitted charges relating to the creation and possession of illegal material involving children.
Meanwhile, Dean Hamilton, 47, from Street, Somerset, has pleaded guilty to one charge of sexual penetration without consent, two charges of sexual assault and one charge of rape.
Hamilton and Philip Young will be sentenced after the trial has concluded. The other four defendants deny the charges, which range from sexual touching to rape.
