On Saturday, a protest organized by the Collective for Feminist Thought and Action continued in Pristina, demanding that the institutions take responsibility for the killing of 49-year-old Arlinda Zekaj in Vitomirica, Peja.
The gathering began in Zahir Pajaziti Square, where protesters announced that they would march toward the Ministry of Justice, the Kosovo Police, the Special Prosecution Office, the Kosovo Judicial Council and the Government of Kosovo.

According to them, responsibility must extend to every institutional level that was aware of the danger to which Arlinda Zekaj had been exposed.
The protesters are also calling for femicide to be declared a national emergency. Their list of demands also includes the resignations of Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla and Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla.
The organizers say these demands have still not been met, even though the institutions have taken several measures. These include the resignation of Kosovo Police Director Gazmend Hoxha, as well as the suspension of 11 police officers. Similar measures have also been taken against several prosecution officials, including the chief prosecutor of Peja and the prosecutor who was investigating the case.
Civic mobilization began after Arlinda Zekaj was killed on October 25. As part of this mobilization, protests have also been held in Peja, Mitrovica and Ferizaj.
