The Speaker of Kosovo’s Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, has appealed to Albanians in Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc to take part in tomorrow’s elections and vote for the “Albanian Coalition,” which is number 17 on the ballot.
In a post, Haxhiu welcomed the Albanian parties’ decision to run together on a joint list. She noted that this unity is important for political representation and for safeguarding the rights of Albanians in the Valley.

The full post:
Tomorrow, Albanians in Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc will elect their representatives to parliament. For the Valley, this is a day of particular importance.
The Albanian parties in these municipalities have decided to unite and run on a single list, called the “Albanian Coalition.” The responsibility now lies with the citizens of the Valley, who must strongly support this unity.
Kosovo follows developments in the Valley with particular attention. The political representation of Albanians there, the protection of their rights and responding to any injustice they face remain important to us.
For this reason, Haxhiu has called on all Albanians in the Valley to turn out tomorrow and exercise their right to vote. She has also encouraged Albanians who live and work in Kosovo and are eligible to vote to travel to the Valley to take part in the elections.
The Valley’s voice will be heard tomorrow through the ballot, and a vote for number 17 is a vote for the “Albanian Coalition.”
Valley, Kosovo stands with you!
