At her meeting with Baca, who was elected president of Hungary in August of this year, the president expressed her willingness to further develop ties between Macedonia and Hungary. She cited political dialogue, reciprocal visits and the promotion of economic cooperation as ways to strengthen them.
Siljanovska-Davkova wrote that she had thanked Hungary for its principled stance and strong support for Macedonia’s European integration, as well as for its active role in the “Visegrad Group.” She emphasized that enlargement should be based on a credible process, with assessments made according to merit and the criteria established in Copenhagen.
Current geopolitical challenges were also part of her conversation with her Hungarian counterpart.
