Students continue to reject dialogue with Prime Minister Rama, while the latter has once again placed the concrete blocks bearing the word “dialogue” in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The head of government repeated his calls for dialogue, but at the same time threatened those young people who, according to him, took the capital hostage.

Rama accused the organizers of exporting what he described as “ANTIFA’s terror” and of using the students for other purposes.
“Again and again, the invitation to dialogue and the readiness to be with anyone who seeks and believes in dialogue are here. I am ready wherever, in any place, at any hour, with those who believe that Albania should be made better—and Albania becomes better through decency, through the exchange and confrontation of views, however opposing they may be. Violent opposition, opposition by force, opposition that runs counter to reason cannot impose itself on the need for dialogue, the confrontation of views, however opposing they may be, and democratic coexistence in a country where the past has no chance of returning. Whoever took the capital hostage by exporting ANTIFA’s terror here and playing the game of others in the name of the students, and by placing themselves at the forefront of the students with their faces covered, should know that they will answer for it. They will answer legally and criminally; they will answer according to the severity of the violation committed and the extent of the major misunderstanding,” Rama said.
Rama stressed that no one can impose their will on an entire people through violence, stones and fire, emphasizing that Albania’s path toward European integration will continue.
“It is a major misunderstanding to think that you can impose yourself on an entire people, on another community, or on families who want to go to work, using the language of stones and fire. It is a major misunderstanding that will become a lesson for anyone who believed that this misunderstanding would change Albania’s path. Albania’s path will not change; Albania will continue forward, and Albania will carry to the summit of its dreams the flag of Ismail Qemali and Skanderbeg, and Albania will be part of that EU—something that the forces involved in this great wrongdoing cannot prevent,” the head of government said.
