The protesters’ march has begun along the boulevard, where citizens continue to call for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation.

This marks the ninth day of protests by students and other citizens.
The protesters are mainly calling for Prime Minister Rama to step down, accusing him of poor governance and of leading a government embroiled in numerous corruption scandals.
The prime minister has proposed holding a dialogue with students and citizens. However, the latter say they will not enter into talks with the head of government because, they say, he has failed to keep his promises in the past.
