A Swedish citizen, wanted under an international arrest warrant for involvement in serious criminal offenses related to narcotics, was extradited from Kosovo to Sweden on 21.10.2026. The arrest warrant was issued by Swedish justice institutions.
The extradition was carried out by the Kosovo Police, through the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination with relevant Kosovo Police units and justice institutions.

The operation was made possible thanks to cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and those of the Kingdom of Sweden.
The Directorate for International Police Cooperation will continue exchanging data with domestic institutions, states, and international organizations. This cooperation aims to prevent, investigate, and detect criminal activities, as well as locate and apprehend individuals and criminal groups operating within and outside the country.
