The meeting discussed the work of the Oversight Mechanism for the Work of the State Prosecutor and the support that British partners intend to provide to this mechanism.
The mechanism was established a few days ago by a decision of the State Chief Prosecutor. Its task is to review the quality of indictments dismissed through final court decisions, as well as indictments that have resulted in final acquittal or dismissal judgments in priority cases, particularly those related to high-level corruption.
Zejnulla Gashi praised the expertise and support of the British partners, also appreciating their readiness to help increase the professional and institutional capacities of the State Prosecutor’s Office.
