North Macedonia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that on 30.09.2026, at around 11:05 a.m., officers from the Mavrovo Police Unit stopped the 33-year-old Afghan national Sh.M.A. in an area known as “Bunec”.

During a search of the taxi with Skopje license plates, in which he was a passenger, police discovered a quantity of marijuana, as well as papers used for rolling cigarettes, known as rolling papers.
According to the Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs, the 33-year-old was taken to the police station and subsequently brought before a judge at the Basic Court in Gostivar. The court imposed the relevant misdemeanor sanctions on him and banned him from entering the Republic of North Macedonia for a period of one year.
