The trial in the “Talir 1” case has returned to the starting point after the main hearing was postponed and the statutory 90-day deadline since the last hearing expired. As a result, the proceedings will officially begin for the seventh time.

The Basic Criminal Court in Skopje announced today that the postponement was caused by several circumstances. The new prosecutor, who took over the case after Lençe Ristoska was left without authorization, requested time to familiarize herself with the large number of pieces of evidence and expert reports. The absence of one of the defendants also made it difficult for the hearing to proceed.
