Seasonal flu vaccines for the 2026/2027 season are expected to arrive in the Republic of Kosovo on October 21, the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK) has announced.

NIPHK explained that changes to the composition of the strains recommended for the Northern Hemisphere vaccine have affected the international production of flu vaccines this year.
As a result, production and supply schedules have been affected globally and in countries across the region. According to the institute, the vaccines will arrive in the Republic of Kosovo 21 days later than planned.
The institute is closely monitoring the supply process and will inform citizens and health institutions when seasonal flu vaccination begins after it receives the vaccines.
Once the procedures for receiving and distributing the vaccines to health institutions are complete, citizens will be informed of vaccination locations and hours in good time.
NIPHK thanked citizens for their understanding and cooperation.
