Two workers have died in accidents in Italy, one in the Ancona area and the other in the province of Milan.

At the Fincantieri shipyard near Ancona, a 55-year-old Tunisian worker was engulfed in flames while working the night shift. The incident happened at around 10 p.m. on September 29, when he and another worker, a 29-year-old man of Bangladeshi origin, were aboard a ship inside a hangar.
The 55-year-old was rushed to hospital but died shortly afterward from severe burns. The other worker suffered burns to various parts of his body. He was initially taken to Ancona hospital and later transferred to the Severe Burns Centre in Pisa.
It is not yet known what caused the fire. Investigators are considering whether it may have been sparked while cutting with an acetylene torch. Forensic police specialists also attended the scene.
Following the accident, various trade unions called an eight-hour strike and held a protest outside the shipyard.
In the province of Milan, a 48-year-old worker died after falling from a height of around eight metres. He was working on removing the roof of a rural building. The worker who was with him was unharmed.
Emergency crews and firefighters went to the scene and secured the area. The Carabinieri and local police are investigating to establish the cause of the accident and any possible liability.
