Ardian Gjini announced that the Alliance Presidency had met to discuss the decision of the Special Court in The Hague.

In his statement, Gjini said that the Alliance had maintained the same position toward the Special Court from the beginning. He added that the party would continue to call on all sides not to mix legal assistance for KLA leaders in The Hague and the protection of state rights with party politics.
Gjini also warned that delays in the process of electing the president, as the deadline set by the Constitutional Court approaches, could increase uncertainty among citizens. According to him, efforts to intervene through deadlines and new cases before the Constitutional Court were also a cause for concern.
In his announcement, Gjini said that today’s meeting was the first since the decision of the Special Court in The Hague and was held a few days before the deadline for electing the president.
He stressed that the Alliance had been consistent and constructive on issues related to the history, present and future of children.
Gjini said that the Alliance would engage through all the political avenues at its disposal, with the aim of protecting the constitutional order, restoring institutional normality and promoting economic and social development in the country.
