The Government of Kosovo sent 11 draft laws to the Assembly today, but the draft law amending the Law on Specialist Chambers was not among them. This was announced by PDK MP Blerta Deliu-Kodra on the “DPT te Fidani” programme.

Following this development, Deliu-Kodra announced that the PDK would meet early tomorrow morning to discuss the situation.
She described the decision as unprecedented and as a disregard for Kosovo’s urgent needs, the political situation in the country and the thousands of citizens who have been protesting in the capital for 14 nights.
According to the MP, the official notice concerning the submission of the draft laws was sent to MPs by email after 3 p.m. She said this action had caused surprise and raised suspicions within the parliamentary group.
Deliu-Kodra stressed that the PDK’s legislative initiative had been forwarded by the Assembly to the Government as early as the 23rd, while the Ministry of Justice had had the necessary time and opportunity to process it as a matter of urgency.
