In low-lying areas, minimum temperatures have fallen to as low as 10 degrees Celsius, while values of 5 to 6 degrees have been recorded in mountainous areas.
Maximum temperatures also fell, dropping to 19 to 20 degrees Celsius in low-lying areas.
The sudden change in temperatures was caused by the intrusion of cold air masses from the north, accompanied by humidity and rainfall. Following this situation, a gradual improvement in the weather is expected.
According to IGJEUM, October, November and December are expected to be characterized by temperatures above the long-term averages, continuing the trend of high temperatures recorded during this year.
