A slight increase in wages was recorded in July, when the average net salary reached 48,499 denars. According to the State Statistical Office, this figure was 118 denars, or one euro and 91 cents, higher than in June, when the average salary was 48,381 denars.

Compared with July last year, the average net salary increased by 7.1 percent.
The financial and insurance sector recorded the highest annual wage growth, at 10.7 percent. It was followed by water supply, sewerage, waste management and environmental remediation, with an increase of 10.4 percent, and real estate activities, with 9.6 percent.
Net wages also increased in several sectors compared with June. The increase was 4.3 percent in professional, scientific and technical activities, 3.2 percent in trade, and 2.3 percent in construction.
Meanwhile, the average gross salary in July was 72,935 denars, representing an annual increase of 7.1 percent. The largest increase was recorded in the financial and insurance sector, at 10.8 percent; in water supply, sewerage, waste management and environmental remediation, at 10.5 percent; and in activities related to real estate, at 9.8 percent.
