A 44-year-old man from Skopje, identified as S.I., was arrested on 16 September 2026 at around 5:30 a.m. in the village of Haraçinë. According to the Macedonian Ministry of Interior, the arrest was carried out by the Search Unit of the International Police Cooperation Department, in cooperation with the Intervention Police.

The man had been wanted on a central arrest warrant for the criminal offence of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors,” under Article 215, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code, for which he had been sentenced to five years in prison.
S.I. had been on the run since 2024. Following his arrest, he was handed over to the Gazi Babë Police Station with General Jurisdiction for further proceedings, the Ministry of Interior said.
