Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Italy today, where he will attend the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Albania in Naples.

The institution will be headed by Honorary Consul Giuseppe Lettieri and will exercise jurisdiction in the Campania region. The consulate aims to serve as a point of reference for Albanians in the region, as well as to support services and strengthen economic, cultural and social ties between Albania and Italy.
During his stay in Naples, Rama will visit the Albanian Language Department at the University of “L’Orientale” and the University of “Parthenope.” At the latter, he will attend a reception entitled “Naples, a bridge of friendship, cooperation and development between Italy and Albania.”
The visit’s program will conclude with a meeting with the rectors of Naples’ universities. Together with Minister Kumbaro, the head of government will examine opportunities to create synergies with Albanian universities as part of the internationalization process.
