Vetëvendosje MP Egzon Azemi has raised concerns about the intended use of a 4.5-hectare property, equivalent to around 45,000 square metres, at the site of the former Tulltorja in Pristina.

In a post published on Facebook, Azemi claimed that the land could be granted to businessman Agim Gerbeshi for use for 50 years.
According to the MP, the property is located near the Llapi Mosque, at the point where Tophanja, Kodra e Trimave and Arbëria meet.
Azemi accused Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama of “stealing” the land, while stressing that the municipality had paid more than €8 million to acquire the property from the Kosovo Privatization Agency.
He said the land belonged to the entire city and that, given the lack of public spaces in Pristina, at least a public discussion should be held regarding such a property.
Azemi also addressed Agim Gerbeshi, telling him that he could invest in his own properties anywhere, but advising him not to become part of what he described as Përparim Rama’s dishonest game.
According to the MP, 4.5 hectares, or 45,000 m², of the former Tulltorja are expected to enter such a procedure tomorrow near the Llapi Mosque, in the area where Tophanja, Kodra e Trimave and Arbëria converge.
