During the hearing in The Hague, Specialist Prosecutor Joshua Hafetz continued presenting evidence in the trial of Hashim Thaçi and the other defendants.

As part of the closing statements, Hafetz released further messages and audio recordings related to communications and conversations with Fadil Fazliu.
According to Hafetz, Rrustem Mustafa’s testimony in the war crimes case against Hashim Thaçi and others was the target of attempts by Thaçi to interfere.
“Mustafa and his testimony were targeted by Thaçi’s instructions to interfere, which were largely intended to ensure that Mr. Mustafa created a distance between the General Staff and the zone commanders that was consistent with Thaçi’s narrative,” he stated.
The Prosecution is using these materials to support its claims regarding communication between the defendants and possible influence on witnesses.
