The ruling OBRM-PDUKM party has categorically denied any communication with the Democratic Union for Integration regarding the holding of early parliamentary elections. The response came after statements by DUI vice-president Bujar Osmani, who warned that the country could go to the polls in the spring of next year.

“There have been no discussions with DUI about snap elections. What is more, it has not even crossed our minds to speak with Bujar Osmani about matters of such importance. Bujar, it seems, is once again inventing a way to attract attention between two nationalist and fabricated topics,” OBRM-PDUKM said.
Osmani made the statement during the “Click Plus” program on TV21, where he stressed that his party was prepared for elections and that this message had also been conveyed to the ruling party. “Certainly, this position was communicated to them in various ways as well. We do not see any strong opposition to this, and we expect early elections to be held sometime in the spring, so we are making our preparations,” Osmani said.
