The new parliamentary session began this Monday with the first meeting held in the Assembly chamber.

The opening of the proceedings was marked by the performance of the National Anthem, during which the deputies stood as a sign of respect.
After the anthem ended, Assembly Speaker Niko Peleshi announced the agenda and delivered the first speech of the session.
“This Assembly will be judged not by what it represents, but by what it achieves. Let us prepare Albania for full membership in the EU. Let us do so through concrete results. Albania has chosen Europe. Let us continue the work that will take us there,” Peleshi declared, among other remarks.
