104 cases of affected people with COVID-19 in Albania

In the last 24 hours, 15 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, bringing to 104 the number of affected people in Albania.

In daily communication to the public, Health and Defense Minister Ogerta Manastirliu confirmed that the map of coronavirus exposure has been expanded and called on citizens to respect social distance measures.

“Only in the last 24 hours, 15 new positive cases have been confirmed, in 45 tests performed. The map of those affected by COVID-19 already extends to Vlora, Shkodra and extends to Tirana, Durres, except for the cases of epidemiological investigation, such as Lushnja, Kavaja, Fier, Rrogozhina where epidemiologists are working without interruption, for tracking positive case contacts and interrupting transmission of infection. We have good news in these busy days, today 2 other patients have left the infectious service, bringing to 5 the number of the cured ”, Manastirliu said.

There have been 2 deaths in the last 24 hours: A 71-year-old with concomitant illnesses and a 43-year-old who had obesity.

The total number of citizens who lost their lives affected by COVID-19 is 4.
Five hospitalized patients have been cured who have both failed COVID-19 tests.

To date, 856 tested cases are suspected and confirmed positive with COVID-19, 104 cases. /albeu.com/
