New details have been made public about the accident in which a 32-year-old man lost his life near the village of Pojskë, on the Pogradec–Qafë Thanë road segment.
According to data collected during the investigation, Amarildo Islamaj, 32, originally from Vlora, is suspected of having stolen the vehicle in which he was later involved in the fatal crash.

According to police sources, the car was taken in the village of Lëneshnicë after the keys had been left inside it. After taking the vehicle, the 32-year-old drove away at high speed, but only a few minutes later he crashed on the Pogradec–Qafë Thanë road.
The accident caused the young man severe injuries and, although he was given medical assistance at the hospital, he did not survive.
Police from the Pogradec station have also questioned the owner of the vehicle, who had earlier reported it stolen. Preliminary investigations indicate that the 32-year-old is suspected of being the person who stole the vehicle that was later involved in the accident.
