Kosovo’s chief negotiator with the European Union, Jeton Zulfaj, held a meeting with Matti Nissinen, Finland’s former ambassador to Kosovo and the current director for Southeast Europe and EU Enlargement at Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The discussion focused on recent developments in Kosovo, the progress of the European integration process, and the assistance Finland can provide to help Kosovo advance toward obtaining candidate country status.
Zulfaj said he also discussed with Nissinen securing greater support from EU member states, as well as Kosovo’s next steps on its path toward membership in the European Union.
“It was a pleasure to meet this week with Mr. Matti Nissinen, Finland’s former ambassador to Kosovo, who now serves as Director for Southeast Europe and EU Enlargement at Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs,” Zulfaj wrote on Facebook.
He expressed gratitude for Nissinen’s friendship and for Finland’s continued support on Kosovo’s journey toward full integration into the European Union.
