Zulfaj discusses Kosovo’s EU integration with Bulgaria’s foreign minister

During his visit to Sofia, where he took part in the “EU Meets the Balkans” Forum, Jeton Zulfaj, the Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, met with Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Velislava Petrova-Chamova.

The discussions focused on relations between Kosovo and Bulgaria, cooperation at the regional level, and Kosovo’s path toward membership in the European Union.

Zulfaj expressed his gratitude for the support Bulgaria has provided to the Republic of Kosovo at various stages of state-building, as well as for Bulgaria’s contribution to strengthening security and stability in the region.

For Kosovo, obtaining candidate country status and launching accession negotiations remain priority objectives. In this context, Chief Negotiator Zulfaj emphasized the need for active support from Bulgaria in order to advance Kosovo’s application.
