Young Woman from Munich Delivers Message Outside Prime Minister’s Office: Albania Needs a Revolution, Diaspora Backs Protests

A young woman who had arrived from Munich addressed protesters gathered outside the Prime Minister’s Office, calling for Albanians to unite and declaring that the diaspora stands with the protests taking place in Albania.

She said the revolution must begin in the square itself, describing the political class as even more rotten than the hospitals and emphasizing that the country needs a revolution.

The young woman said she had just returned from the hospital, where one of her relatives had been admitted. Describing the lack of air conditioning, she said she could not understand how patients could remain in such conditions and stressed that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, even when they are ill.

According to her, the next protest in Munich will take place this Friday. She assured those present that they have the diaspora’s support, reiterating that Albanians living abroad stand with them.

She also announced that many of her friends would join the protesters in the square on August 14, 15 and 16. The young woman said they would stand together to bring about a revolution because, in her view, the time for it had come.
