A disturbing allegation has emerged on social media, claiming that some citizens who took part in anti-government protests have received threatening messages on their phones.
According to the report, the citizens were warned that they had been photographed during the protest and would be contacted to be informed of the charges for which they would be held accountable.

The person reporting the threats, a teacher, claims that colleagues have also received such messages, causing fear and concern among teaching staff.
He says the teachers have done nothing illegal and have simply come out in support of students and young people who have been protesting for days, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In the published message, the teachers say they are terrified by the warnings and ask for their account to be made public while preserving their anonymity. The message allegedly sent to citizens reads: “Good evening! You have been photographed taking part in today’s protest. You will be contacted tomorrow and informed of the charge for which you will be held accountable.”

The teachers’ account: “These are the text messages we have been receiving on our phones today! We are terrified by what they are doing to us! Sorry, but we don’t know what we have done wrong to be notified of a charge! We have stood alongside the young people, our children… we cannot sleep peacefully because of this schizophrenic, this communist state! Please, if you think it is appropriate, publish this! Sorry once again! Respectfully, the teaching staff! Please keep us anonymous.” So far, neither the identity of those behind the messages nor whether they were sent by any state institution has been verified.
