During the meeting of the Commission for Civic Initiatives, Cooperation, and Institutional Oversight, a clash was recorded between the commission chairman, Fatmir Xhafaj, and the People’s Advocate, Endrit Shabani.
The debate was sparked by discussions on the implementation of the People’s Advocate’s recommendations, accompanied by exchanges between the two officials.

Shabani: Only 21% of the People’s Advocate’s recommendations are implemented. If you are satisfied with this performance, I am not.
Xhafaj: What are we satisfied with and what are you not… You need to change your language, because you’re talking to me here as if you are a party chairman, not the People’s Advocate.
Shabani: I have come to represent my institution, this comment does you no honor. I am not a politician.
Xhafaj: You used to be.
Shabani: We have not come here to show what you and I did in the past.
