Dramatic footage from the massive wildfires spreading in Canada shows a freight train surrounded by flames in the Armstrong area, near Ontario, putting the crew at risk.
The images were filmed from inside the train and show the terrain engulfed in fire. In the background, the engineer can be heard saying: “This could reach us here too, it’s getting a little scary. We are surrounded by flames.”

Canadian National Railway announced that on Tuesday, three freight trains carrying flammable materials were stopped in the Armstrong area due to the fires. As a protective measure, the crews were immediately evacuated.
According to international media, despite the dangerous situation, all crew members escaped without injuries. The video was shared on social media by Ontario MP Sol Mamakwa.
Meanwhile, the large fire hotspots that continue to expand in western Ontario threaten to send thick smoke clouds toward the Great Lakes region and the northeastern United States.
Reports indicate that some of the fires have spread over an area of more than 32 kilometers, making it more difficult for authorities to intervene and bring them under control.
